Xiaomi has unveiled a new smartphone Mi 8 as a part of the celebration of company's 8th anniversary. However the flagship hold pretty strong features like Dual cameras, 3D Face Unlock and more. It is the first smartphone to have Dual GPS and first Xiaomi smartphone with a notch design display.

There is also a higher edition of Mi 8 called Mi 8 Explorer Edition. Which features a in-display fingerprint sensor, see-through back panel and more RAM.

Coming to the specifications of Mi 8, it holds a larger 6.33" AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. And the first Xiaomi smartphone to have a notch design. The portion of the notch holds a IR blaster for 3D face unlock, front camera, earpiece and sensors.
There is 20MP front camera with AI enhancements like AI Beautification and AI Portrait Mode. Which gives better selfies in low light mode.

And there is a dual camera module on the back with 12MP lense with f/1.8 aperture plus 12MP lense with f/2.4 aperture. The second one being a telephoto lense. The primary sensor is IMX363 by Sony and the secondary sensor is S5K3M3 by Samsung.

The pricing of Xiaomi Mi 8 is starting from CNY 2699 for 6GB+64GB version, CNY 2999 for 6GB+128GB version and CNY 3299 for 6GB+256GB version. And the market launching is scheduled for June 5 and Mi 8 will be available both online and offline stores.
And the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition is priced at CNY 3799. It has only one variant 8GB+128GB. And will be available in stores after a month.
